I'm a bit torn on this issue. In the LinkedIn era, a profile picture is essentially a must-have for online resumes. However, I don't believe that a printed resume should include a photo. When I was graduating, our advisors recommended having a headshot for some reason, but including a photo can introduce bias—either intentional or unintentional, or even unconscious. There are two sides to consider here.
I'm not entirely sure what the benefit is, and it's fairly clear that there are downsides to including a photo. I'd opt against it.
Having worked in Europe where inclusion of a Foto is common I am against it. I have experienced a lot of bias because of this

6 天前This post is quite timely. In the last three months, I've seen more photos on resumes?than I have in three years. My gut reaction is to advise candidates to remove photos for the reasons you mentioned. As with everything, there's a case for both sides. I'm curious to hear more opinions on this topic!
