Did you know that Hinduism is not a religion? Hindus are identified through their geographic and cultural ties, not their belief in a God or gods. The Hindu way of life is actually called Sanathana Dharma, which you may never even have heard of before. This is because most of our understanding of South Asian culture and spiritual practices comes from the West for the West, and rarely comes from South Asia itself.
