Patriotism on display in Johnson City, TN! We are proud to have supported The American Legion and the King’s Mountain Post 24 on its official flag pole dedication atop Tannery Knob. The theme of this dedication was to celebrate “SERVICE” and will now remain as a symbol of community engagement, remembrance of those who it stands for, and patriotism. General Shale adds seven new “Certified Brick Specialists” in Carly D. Bolus, Zach Briggs, Brad Van Huss, Brian Fair, Zach Montgomery, Nathan Matthews, and Devon Muse. While each serve in a different role throughout the company between #sales, #engineering, and #legal, this certification furthers their individual understandings of the industry and its #solutions, which enhancing our company’s ability to provide quality #service to our customers. We appreciate their dedication and willingness to lead! The Brick Industry Association Brick University Online is a series of technical and sales training courses that are offered exclusively to members of the Brick Industry Association. It is comprised of 6 basic courses. Once completed, individuals achieve the status of Certified Brick Specialist, which is good for 1 year from the date of completion. ?? ??

General Shale’s Vice President of Manufacturing, Scott Miracle, and Regional Production Manager, Basil Postupack, recently hosted a #kiln #seminar, inviting a host of managers and supervisors from the NA network to review key aspects of kiln #operations that are vital to maintaining #efficient and #safe production processes at our manufacturing sites. Congratulations to the Denver, CO location for taking the top honor in this year’s Distribution Team “S.E.L.F.” Award recognizing “Supervisory Excellence & Leadership Fundamentals” at the distribution level. Each year, the safety department recognizes a direct distribution center within the General Shale group who demonstrates building and maintaining a strong safety culture. Excellence is displayed through strong written program management, employee training, hazard abatement, and participation by all levels of staff leadership.
