High Five Legal, A Patino Law Office Bankruptcy Service转发了
I didn't go to law school thinking I was going to be a bankruptcy attorney. I was a transfer student at University of Illinois College of Law, meaning there were slim pickings of what courses were available. My buddy Colin Willmott was like, "let's take a four-hour bankruptcy course." I signed up and loved it (shoutout to Pamela Foohey). Something clicked. I enjoyed reading the bankruptcy code. I went on to take bankruptcy procedure (shoutout Ralph Brubaker) and complete an independent study on small business bankruptcies in Nebraska. I decided to pursue a career as a bankruptcy attorney because I enjoyed helping everyday people and bankruptcy law clicked for me. As I finish 10 full years of bankruptcy practice, I have been reflecting on my journey. In many ways it has been full of twists and turns, but one thing has remained consistent, my love of helping everyday people. Now that I operate a firm (High Five Legal, A Patino Law Office Bankruptcy Service) in two states, Minnesota and Nebraska, I am able to assist more everyday people. And that is what makes my heart feel full.
You set an example and never fail to inspire!
I absolutely love this reflection
Out of all the solos on my radar, your branding and personal journey are one of the coolest. Right on ?? Congrats on the rebrand, man.
A truly inspiring story
I clerked for a bankruptcy firm in Chicago during the code changes in 2005. They were open 24 hours on some days!
Congratulations Patrick here's to practicing with a full heart!
It is such an inspiring journey! What do you think it was about bankruptcy law that made it resonate with you?
