Excited to be invited to give a guest lecture at BITS Pilani, on "Building AI Agents in Production." Here’s what I’ll be covering: 1. What is an AI Agent? How does it differ from an LLM? 2. Autonomy in AI Agents: Exploring how planning and reasoning enable autonomy. 3. Solving a Task Traditionally: We'll tackle a task manually to understand the challenges. 4. Building an AI Agent Together: We'll code an AI Agent from scratch and let it autonomously solve the task. No prior knowledge of any specific framework is needed—we’ll build an AI agent from scratch! ?? Date: Tuesday, November 26 ? Today, I had the incredible opportunity to attend a workshop on "Building and Experimenting with Large Language Models (LLMs)" organized by Shaastra, IIT Madras. ?? The session was conducted by Mahesh Balan sir & Parthasarathy Sir from PayPal —and it was nothing short of enlightening! During the workshop, I delved deep into: ?? Understanding Small vs. Large Language Models ?? How Transformers Work ?? Fine-tuning Models for Specific Tasks ?? Some FinTech Applications including fascinating examples of Fraud Detection?? One of the highlights was the hands-on exercises where I explored: Solving sentimental classifier problems Implementing RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) This session was a perfect blend of theory and practice, showcasing real-world applications of GenAI in FinTech.
