V2G prequalification test, with series devices and vehicle In the weeks leading up to Power2Drive, we will once again see many great product announcements that promise the blue sky. Here's something from real life.... Here is a short video that I recorded today during a FCR prequalification test. In the test, we run quite dynamic sine curves that get slower and slower. As you can see and perhaps hear in the video, both the vehicle and the charger do not switch off at the zero crossing, nor do they remain there. The entire setup is in the stock configuration, yes, both the Charger and the vehicle. The local EMS control is handled by ambibox, the V2G control by a well-known partner instead of TSO/DSO. The noise of the Charger seems much louder in the video, at a distance of five meters the DC wallbox is barely audible. Here is something very interesting the OEM's are trying to get more infrastructure in place with charging stations which is nice, but they forget that no one wants to sit around for 30 to 45 minutes to get a 75% RECHARGE. This also doesn't eliminate RECHARGE ANXIETY. Our Advantron system is the only onboard recharging system in the world. Our test show that we can recharge a bak of batteries in 30 minutes or less without having to stop your EV. It charges as you drive simply put it is the only system that ELIMINATES RECHARGE ANXIETY. We have been trying to tell the decision makers at the OEM's we can solve your problem and your engineers have approved it but try to get the decision makers involved on the "C" level.....
