Henkel publishes preliminary figures for the first half of 2024: After a very strong business performance in first half of 2024, Henkel raises its full-year earnings outlook. Based on preliminary figures, Henkel generated sales of around 10.8 billion euros. As in particular the adjusted return on sales and adjusted earnings per share exceeded market expectations, we raise our full-year earnings outlook: The adjusted EBIT margin rose to 14.9 percent, adjusted earnings per preferred share amounted to 2.78 euros in the first half of 2024 (+32.9 percent at constant exchange rates). We said we would deliver, and that’s what we do! Step by step. Quarter by quarter. Today, we decided to raise our full-year outlook for sales and earnings. Thanks to our very good business performance in 2024 so far and our assumptions for the rest of the year, we now expect: ?? Organic sales growth between 2.5 and 4.5 percent (previously: 2.0 to 4.0 percent) ?? (Adjusted) EBIT margin: 13.0 to 14.0 percent (previously: 12.0 to 13.5 percent) ?? (Adjusted) Earnings per preferred share (EPS): Increase of +15.0 to +25.0 percent at constant exchange rates (previously: +5.0 to 20.0 percent) Based on preliminary figures for the first quarter of this year, group sales amounted to around 5.3 billion euros. This is an organic growth of 3 percent, driven by both business units: Henkel Adhesive Technologies and Henkel Consumer Brands. The very good start to the year and today's increase in the full-year outlook demonstrate very clearly that we are on the right track with our purposeful growth strategy. Henkel has raised its annual earnings outlook after sales grew 2.9% to €10.8 billion, in the first half of its financial year. CEO Carsten Knobel stated: “The overall very good business performance in the first half of the year and the fact that we raised our outlook for fiscal 2024 again clearly demonstrate that we are on the right track with our strategy.” Henkel's #Consumer Brands segment saw year-on-year organic sales growth of 4.3%, to €5.3 billion, in the first six months of 2024. The #Adhesive Technologies unit generated sales worth €5.5 billion, reflecting an increase of 2.0%. Both business units benefitted from positive price development of 2.5% while the company also enjoyed marginal volume growth (+0.4%). “In the first half of the year, we have increased investments in #advertising and innovation, and we will further increase them over the course of 2024 in order to underpin our ambitions for future growth,” Knobel added. Symrise on a profitable growth course in the first half of 2024 In the persistently challenging environment worldwide, Symrise significantly increased both sales and profitability, above all thanks to strict cost management: Sales increased by 6.3 % to 2,565 million. Excluding portfolio and exchange rate effects, sales increased organically by 11.5 %, driven by the positive performance of the company’s two segments. At the same time, profitability measured by the EBITDA margin of 20.7 % was significantly higher than the previous year’s adjusted figure of 19.7 %. “Symrise is on course.
