The DMA are unsurprisingly (to me) reporting that customer loyalty is far far from limited to simply having a 'loyalty scheme' in place! Customer Retention has very little to do with Customer Loyalty. Sure it is linked but what you really want to strive for is Customer Advovacy. The problem with advocacy is that it can't easily be measured as it all comes down to what your customers say about you when you're not in the room. Remember this as you finalise your strategy for Black Friday as functionality, service and ease of check out combined are just as important as price ??
