2025 is already approaching. Can’t believe how fast time has flown ? It feels like yesterday we were a small dedicated team, starting our journey as Data Science UA. But this year, we were actually celebrating our 8th anniversary with 80+ people on board! 2024 was quite challenging, but we still... ?? Delivered over 100 AI models, including one with an impressive 1 billion parameters. ?? Worked on dozens of exciting AI projects, particularly in fintech, pharma, and green energy. ?? Wrapped up our own R&D project featuring BrainChip Akida neuromorphic chips. ?? Welcomed 29 talented new members to our team. ?? Built strong partnerships and hosted nine online meetups with leading industry experts. Once again, I can't fully express how proud I am to be a part of this team.?Thanks to the incredible support of our clients, partners, and community we're only getting stronger. Such a pleasure to discuss how we can accelerate the scaling of deep tech companies today at TechBBQ. Here are some take aways from what I shared being an opererator, investor and Board member in deep tech companies: - Let’s try to balance the pacing of company building between the perspective from traditionel tech investors with the perspective of our science and engineering teams on what actually needs to be derisked before getting to a commercial prototype. - Scaling deep tech solutions can only be done in partnerships - no one player can develop a deep tech solution in energy, bio, food, quantum etc. and take it to market without strong partners in the value chain. - New investment models will have to see the day to get more deep tech to the market - the bunderies between what is venture and infrastructure will have to be softer to get more first of a kinds out there. - Look out for mature foundational platforms in all deep tech spaces - and build applications around those. Just as it has been done in software.
