While there are many individuals that suffer from PTS who are not connected to the military, I want to highlight those who are connected to the military and are suffering from PTS. This can be military service members, veterans, and their families. Military families as a whole suffer from PTS and it is important for families to feel as if they are supported. PTS is something that is not often recognized in the military family community, but is important to recognize. Many aspects of the military life present struggles, that in the moment you may not even realize the mental struggles that will come from it. There are tons of resources out there for families who are suffering from the negative consequences of PTS.
