This morning, the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin denied We Energies' extraordinary request for an additional $25 million from customers this year. This decision comes between We Energies' last rate case and its preparations for the next rate case. This is a big win for CUB and We Energies customers! CUB supports utilities’ efforts to maintain safe, reliable, affordable, and environmentally responsible services for Wisconsin’s customers. However, we will speak up when a regulated monopoly utility tries to saddle customers with unfair costs, especially without demonstrating thoughtful and cost-effective long-term planning.
