?? Reflecting on a Year of Connections and Growth Living & working abroad.. My 2 cents ?? Living in Vietnam has its perks, but being back in the UK this year has been a reminder of just how important it is to stay connected—not just with clients, but with family and friends who truly matter. This visit was one of the best yet, filled with weddings, birthdays, events, and countless moments that made a real impact, both personally and professionally. Since founding Saigon Digital, I’ve found that days can easily become consumed by working in the business, rather than on the business. But meeting people in person and taking the time to build those meaningful connections makes all the difference—it’s a reminder that relationships are the foundation of what we do. It’s also been a great year for Saigon Digital as we continue to support McLaren Group in their digital journey. We’re excited about the work we’re doing together and can’t wait to see what the last quarter of the year and beyond holds. McLaren is a client that just gets it, and it’s rewarding to collaborate with partners who share a vision for impactful, innovative solutions. ?? Midis Annual Corporate Event - 2024 ?? We are excited to share the highlights from our recent corporate event! This year, the Midis team ventured into the heart of Latgale for a day filled with adventure, camaraderie, and growth. ?? Ludza: Our day began with thrilling orienteering activities, pushing us to navigate and collaborate effectively. It was a fantastic way to build our teamwork and problem-solving skills right from the start. ?? Cibla: The excitement continued with paintball and mini-golf. These activities not only brought out our competitive spirit but also reinforced the importance of strategic thinking and coordination. We then enjoyed a delicious lunch, giving us a chance to relax and recharge. ?? Latgolys ?makovka: Our adventure was not complete without a visit to the Latgolys ?makovka, where we learned about local traditions and enjoyed a unique cultural experience. ? Cafe Panna: We concluded the day at the charming Cafe Panna, where we reflected on the day's activities and enjoyed some much-needed relaxation. ?? Our activities were carefully designed to achieve key objectives: ?? Fostering mutual understanding and trust: Engaging in interactive exercises helped us appreciate each other's unique skills and perspectives, strengthening our spirit of cooperation. ?? Information transfer and sharing: Team-building activities facilitated seamless knowledge sharing among our talented IT professionals, promoting growth and development. ?? Planning and role assignment: We honed our planning and organizational skills, demonstrating the power of teamwork by effectively assigning roles and strategizing for each task. ?? Diversity is strength! ? A beautiful mix of cultures, nationalities, experiences, knowledge, skills, backgrounds, and upbringings came together during our department's Offsite in Estonia last week. This annual event (our department's 3rd Spring Offsite) is one of my favourites. We spend a week learning and bonding as a team. ?? Once again, it confirmed?that this team is capable of anything! From creating Oscar-worthy short films to whipping up Michelin-star-worthy dinners, these folks are talented. ?? Diversity truly is a superpower.?Be open-minded and embrace it. Joining a multicultural team can be challenging at first, but learning about your colleagues, their culture and working style is incredibly rewarding. ?? Spending time with your coworkers is truly important.?I used to avoid these events because I didn't see the point, but I changed my perspective a few years ago and started participating. It truly makes a difference when you start building relationships with your colleagues. We're all human, after all, and fostering these connections in the workplace is amazing, not only for personal well-being but for more efficient collaboration as well! ?? We all completed the CliftonStrengths test and reviewed everyone's top five strengths. All 34 strengths were represented! ?? Learning about each strength, its blind spots, and how it manifests in daily work was fascinating. Definitely recommend doing this with your team! Grateful to be part of this international and very multicultural team?

Excited to share insights from our recent Athennian CX Summit! ?? Last week, our Customer Experience team gathered in Florida, with some joining in-person and others virtually, from around 11 locations across North America. Here are some key takeaways: ?? Aligned Priorities: We had a task to pinpoint the most pressing challenge facing our department and propose solutions. Surprisingly, without any prior communication between different teams, we all independently identified the same challenge during our presentation time. This synchronized alignment allowed us to hit the ground running, and we immediately jumped into solutions. Had this been conducted virtually, the process could have stretched over a couple of months as we navigated the complexities of aligning the perspectives of more than 20 individuals. ?? In-Person Collaboration: While I appreciate the conveniences that new technologies offer for virtual connections, nothing quite compares to the experience of building relationships in person. The summit provided an amazing opportunity to connect with colleagues face-to-face, meet new faces and engage in real, meaningful conversations. We showed how easy it is to fix a problem when multiple people jump to help, bringing diverse perspectives. But also, meeting someone in person allows you to connect on a personal level, not just as colleagues, but as friends too. ?? ?? Employee Experience (EX): Early this year for the first time I heard about the official correlation between CX & EX and how valuable it is. Understanding how the satisfaction and engagement of our employees directly influence the experiences of our customers has fundamentally shifted my perspective. It shows how important it is the prioritization of EX initiatives alongside CX efforts, recognizing that a positive employee experience lays the foundation for exceptional customer experiences. The Importance of Team Collaboration and Communication Have you ever noticed that some people still underestimate how crucial this is? Today, we hosted two back-to-back successful events at De Montfort University Kazakhstan. Everything was perfectly organized by the team, creating such a warm and peaceful atmosphere — just the way I like it. I’m truly grateful to my team members ????. It’s inspiring to see them dedicated and striving to deliver high-quality events and experiences for both our current and future students. Here are some key takeaways for you: - Thoughtful Content Matters: Think beyond just “selling” or “pushing” content. Ensure your message is meaningful and that both you and your partners are well-prepared. - Attention to Detail is Key: From dietary preferences to creating a clean, warm, and welcoming environment, every detail counts. - Accountability is Essential: Everyone should know their role and execute it with no excuses. If one person falls short, the whole team is affected, which can harm the company’s performance and waste time and resources. - Plan and Manage Time: Start preparing for even the smallest events at least a month in advance. 26.2 is 26.2. I hate to be a cynic, but I've never understood the appeal of these marathons. If you told me you ran 7 marathons, and someone else told me they ran 7 Majors, all I would hear is that you both did 7 marathons. But that just might be because of my interest in chasing down races with the most beautiful views and bucket list experiences, not the biggest names. Some of my ideal marathons include the Victoria Falls Marathon through Zimbabwe and Zambia, the Midnight Sun Marathon above the Arctic Circle in Norway, the Paris Marathon passing every famous landmark, or Marathon du Medoc with its 22 wine tastings. This isn't to say that the Majors aren't good races, they are. But that doesn't mean they're for everyone. Choosing to run a marathon is a massive decision and commitment. You want a race that reflects back on your goals and interests. Not everyone else's goals and interests. ---------------------------- ??
