Bob Dylan has announced a 10-date UK tour kicking off in November – with shows in Bournemouth, Nottingham, and Wolverhampton.? While at Wimbledon the other week, I noticed more phones than ever being held up during play – the Members were not amused! ???? These days, it’s no longer just about being there and getting the T-Shirt. You need to be there and take the photo, video or stream it live on Instagram – making sure everyone knows you’re part of it ?? There’s definitely something to be said for user-generated content – people value authenticity in the digital age. I’m all for getting a souvenir snapshot or video clip of an event too (yup, that's me posing BEFORE play began on Centre Court!) The problem is people filming chunks or even entire events – and sometimes even obscuring the view of others in the process.??? What happened to living in the moment? It’s surely better than a grainy video you probably won’t even re-watch once the event’s over. And if you do want to relive your favourite music and sporting moments, leave the filming to the professionals. They’ve got the gear to capture these events in high-definition and quality audio, from a range of angles. I can't get over Drumsheds' creativity for their new season launch. There are 4 reasons in particular: For those who don't know Drumsheds is super club venue in Tottenham and as such they always build creative around a simple platform of 'BIG' and 'BIGGER'. One season, the bodybuilders took over their promo; this season, it's Megazords. This latest creative, in particular, leans into: ?? Absurdity ?? - Brands from JACQUEMUS to MSCHF have epitomised this trend, well documented by us in Entertain or Die and more recently Zoe Scaman. ?? Satire ?? - Humour is great, topical humour is even better. If the success of the new Deadpool film and BRAT launch is anything to go by, chronically online audiences love typical referential humour. ?? Premium lo-fi ?? - We know content that doesn't look polished wins on platforms like TikTok, but equally, brands in culture need to feel aspirational. Brands like Drumsheds and Corteiz nail what we call premium lo-fi production techniques. ??? Entertainment-first ??? - Ultimately, this piece is entertainment-first. It's shareable. It's not self-serious. You don't even get a glimpse of the lineups till right at the end. It's as if it's the brand's reward for entertaining you throughout. This is the modern-day version of a club poster - they've sold a brand vibe around BIGGER. BIG JUST GOT BIGGER. #creative #entertainment ?
