Over the past few months I have shared on more than few occasions my optimism that AI will have a very beneficial impact in health care, and also my belief that we must take the time required to fully vet it before placing any trust in its conclusions – something that will require a continual process of validation. Just as importantly, it is crucially important that the people who use AI technology – our physicians and clinicians – be involved in its development, selection and ultimately where it is used and how the veracity of its findings are vetted.
