As we observe Construction Suicide Prevention Week, it's important to recognize the staggering statistics. According to CDC research, 49.4 out of every 100,000 construction workers die by suicide. Nationwide, around 123 people are lost to suicide each day—that's one every 12 minutes. We all play a part in preventing suicide. Let's make mental health a priority and break the silence. There are resources out there to help. Together, we can end the stigma and start the conversation. #SuicidePrevention #MentalHealthAwareness #EndTheStigma

Gender-based violence (GBV) has devastating mental health consequences that can last a lifetime. Survivors often endure constant fear, hyper-vigilance, and feelings of unsafety, even in their own homes or communities. Many experience overwhelming sadness, hopelessness, and isolation, compounded by trauma and stigma. Flashbacks, nightmares, and emotional numbness are also common. To build a healthier, more compassionate society, we must prioritize accessible mental health support for survivors, train healthcare professionals to provide trauma-informed care, and advocate for policies that ensure these services are widely available. Together, we can break the cycle and foster healing. #Ndinewe #EndGBV
