It's Phlebotomists Recognition Week, and time to give a special shout-out to Terry Porter, RN, a dedicated volunteer who has been serving at the Healing Bridge Clinic since 2019. Terry's story is truly inspiring. She once walked in our patients' shoes, experiencing firsthand the challenges of being a single mom without health insurance and living below the poverty level. At 30, she overcame those obstacles and became a Registered Nurse, dedicating her career to serving the underserved, and spending 26 years with the U.S. Public Health Service. We're so fortunate that upon retirement, Terry chose to share her expertise and compassion with Healing Bridge Clinic.
