In the airport feeling incredibly inspired after a great time in Nashville for the Hotel Data Conference (HDC). So many fantastic people and learning experiences and great summaries of where the industry is going and how the trends look. I even got to grab a quick selfie with Lovell Casiero from PM Hotel Group (and the writer of the must read Lead Like a Girl). Not sure I will recover from getting second place ?? in duckpin bowling. ?? however, since Noelani Schroy truly crushed it….I can live with it. If I do something at or near my best….and still lose, that is easier…than a loss that is from non performance. At least David Millili and I won ?? the foosball tournament….and even played with the handicap of the missing man formation on the table (which, I may have forgotten twice and tried to take the shot the the 5 man, who had no feet). My favorite part is, I came away with a large number of new friends and connections and really did learn a great deal. So, I am already looking forward to next year. Or, if my flight keeps getting delayed….maybe I will still be here and already ready for the next one. Also, Grand Hyatt Nashville is an awesome hotel with a fantastic staff and I was extremely happy with the stay!
