I am excited to publish the 6th iteration of Zeroing in on Zero-Emission trucks and report that approximately 42,881 ZETs are deployed as of June 2024. These are ZETs on U.S. roads successfully moving freight today. Applications such as first- and last-mile delivery, return-to-base operations, and drayage are proven to be successful first mover applications. Shown in our highlight of the Port of Los Angeles and Port of Long Beach in the market update, who have more than 400 ZETs in their drayage registry, creating a successful ZE freight ecosystem can drive ZET deployments. And we didn’t just write about the ports. We also filmed them with some fleets who are successfully operating class 8 ZETs. Notice the 2024 #ZeroEmissionTruck (ZET) deployment numbers in the Southeast states where there are no aggressive regulatory compliance standards - Texas (4,155), Florida (3,744), Arizona (1,367), Georgia (1,231). Growth rates of thousands of percent in the last 3 years. Goes to show that this technology revolution will be based on business cases and operational efficiencies - and getting to ICE TCO parity where the labor and electricity costs are cheapest, regardless of regulatory or macro political environment. Latest Market Update: ZETs continue to show their viability in meeting the demands of trucking operations across the United States.?More than 42,500 ZETs have been deployed on U.S. roads?as of June 2024,?mitigating tailpipe emissions from the communities where these vehicles?operate. Fleets are adopting both battery-electric and hydrogen fuel-cell trucks, and 37 OEMs now have at least one ZET model deployed.??
