We’re excited to feature the latest research by Kelley Cours Anderson, Ph.D., M.S.,Kelli Frias, Ph.D., Deidre Popovich and Mikaela Trussell, published in the Journal of Services Marketing. Their study explores how branding in healthcare, though often intended to be inclusive, can unintentionally lead to service exclusion for both patients and providers. By examining sub-branding, they found that it can cause confusion and a lack of belonging within healthcare environments. This research offers important insights for building more inclusive healthcare branding strategies.
