With automation, AI, and productivity tools streamlining so many tasks, the real question isn’t should we move to a 4-day week, but how long can we justify a 5-day one? If technology reduces the time needed to complete our work without compromising quality, isn’t it time to rethink the traditional work structure? Or are we still measuring productivity in hours rather than outcomes?

More and more candidates are asking about flexibility but companies are still a bit behind the times when it comes to offering this. Organisations that can offer this will have a wider talent pool to choose from.

I think it depends on industries. For example if a factory runs 7 days a week then it can’t really not have employees on any day but in other industries where it’s more flexible and service is not set days it’s easier

I love this idea! If teams are working to results rather than time, I think it can be the right way to go. It comes down to effective management and systems.
