Excellent afternoon ~ If there's one place I love being, it's on an AOA construction site. I was able to accompany my husband (JDT RPR Services) to his Denton Enterprise Airport (DTO)job, where I was able to see asphalt reinforcing grid. This stuff literally rocks: reportedly one sheet adds equivalent strength of 4 inches of asphalt. It is then covered with 2 more courses of HMAC for a finished product. A-mazing! SF Bay Ferry orders three battery-electric ferries in $46 million deal U.S. public ferry service provider San Francisco Bay Ferry (SF Bay Ferry) has entered into an agreement to purchase the nation’s first three battery-electric high-speed passenger ferries from All American Marine, Inc.

“Crème brulée” and “airport upgrades” are not words usually heard together, but such is the case with the new engineered materials arresting system (EMAS) being installed right now at Queenstown Airport (ZQN). The system is an extra measure of safety for those landing or taking off from Queenstown Airport, which is surrounded by picturesque mountains and beautiful Lake Wakatipu. Comprising energy-absorbing blocks at each end of the runway, EMAS is designed to crush under the weight of an aircraft and arrest the undercarriage, in case of emergency. We are proud to have been engineering partners to Queenstown Airport for this project right from its inception, and it’s exciting now to be seeing the delivery and installation of the EMAS system.
