A comfortable place to work. Although it may seem obvious, you can still find hotels where it is not easy to find a comfortable workplace. When travelling for business, people often have to spend 2-3 hours answering urgent e-mails or finishing a presentation to a client. a small table with sockets in view (at least two, because in addition to connecting the laptop, you also need to charge your phone), a lamp, and a comfortable chair. Optionally - sockets and a lamp by the bed. It may not seem like much, but the quality of the hotel experience increases significantly - especially from the point of view of people who, like me, travel a lot on business, who after intense days full of meetings don't want to look for hidden sockets under the bed... A well-composed workspace will not "spoil" the hotel room for typical tourists, but will make it more comfortable and universal. That's exactly what we did in the essentially business hotel Qubus Katowice - you can see the effect in the photo, and more, of course, on the MIXD profile. This article alone could spawn several different discussions. One on the intersection of design, architecture, and technology. Another on the importance of the user (in this case worker) experience. Another on the state of the workforce. And another on how people access these spaces. The list could go on and on. What stands out to me is the innovative approach of 'work resorts' like Springline. By blending luxury and functionality, these spaces aim to make the office environment not just bearable but desirable, challenging traditional notions of what workspaces should be.
