It's #BannedBooksWeek 2024—organized by the American Library Association—and this year's theme is "Freed Between the Lines." Last year, the ALA documented the highest number of titles targeted for censorship since the organization began compiling data more than 20 years ago. Books provide us with a world of freedom, but book bans and censorship threaten our right to read. During Banned Books Week and beyond, let's come together to advocate for literary freedom. ? Discover how you can support those protecting the right to read, voice censorship concerns, and explore our frequently challenged or banned titles: https://lnkd.in/eAi6Ei9F

Thank you HarperCollins Publishers for calling attention to #BannedBooksWeek, organized by the #AmericanLibraryAssociation. Reading is fundamental to everything we do, share, learn, and discover. I support the artistic creativity, courage, and vulnerability of writers (and readers of all ages) who learn from one another. #LiteraryFreedom

The novel "Liars" by Poet Suigeneris is riveting, terrifying and heartwarming. It's available on (100) channels where books are sold.

No book should be banned because they all teach us something new about ourselves. Banning books means the end of freedom of speech.

Have a look at "Rez Dog Blues & The Haiku: A Savage Life in Bits and Pieces' (Amazon, 2021). It'll blow your socks off.

I’ve no doubt that a significant number of the books I read would make it into the #BannedBooksWeek top 100! For as long as possible I will continue to dodge the censors and enjoy my literary freedom, remaining forever mindful of all those who do not have the same liberty and freedom of choice that I currently enjoy.
