"I just wanted to ask you which way I ought to go?", she inquires. "Well, that depends on where you want to get to," he responds. "Oh, it really doesn't matter," Alice says, "... as long as I..." "Then, it really doesn't matter which way you go," the cat cuts her off and declares. As a kid, I thought the cat was cryptic, confusing, and not at all helpful. The older I get, however, the more I relate with him. Yet, I can also still understand Alice's position. She'd never been to Wonderland before - most likely unaware of what the options would bring - and was seeking advice from someone who might direct her along a safe path. 18 years ago, my father laid the foundation for PAC Cosmetics Little did I know then how profoundly this family legacy would shape my life. I remember it like yesterday - 18-year-old me never thought how my parents would react when I said I didn’t want to study and wanted to join the family business. I’ll never forget their reaction. My mom’s eyes widened, then softened. She didn’t say much, but her smile said it all. She believed in me in the way only a mother can, with a heart full of love and staunch faith. And my dad? True to form, he simply nodded and reminded me of the value of hard work and dedication it takes to build a business (as he always did). The initial phase was demanding. I'm talking about endless workdays, more "no's" than I care to remember, and nights where I questioned everything. But every time I doubted myself, there was my family, steady as ever. My parents became my silent partner, offering guidance without overshadowing my vision. In 2019, as PAC grew, so did our product line and our team. My wife Vaishnavi and brother Romil joining PAC was a game changer. Their presence brought a unique synergy to our team. Our shared values and deep understanding of each other's strengths allowed us to tackle challenges with a united front. Late-night strategy sessions became family brainstorms, and tough decisions were made easier with their unwavering support and honest feedback. My family's values have been my North Star. They've guided me through the stormiest times, providing clarity when the path ahead seemed impossible. In my journey to build PAC cosmetics, these principles have kept me grounded, reminding me of what truly matters. To anyone out there dreaming of starting their own thing: if you have the support of your family, treasure it. It's a game-changer. Cherish it and draw strength from it.
