Marissa, you've drawn an insightful parallel between the key elements of gardening and the essential components of effective lead management in senior living. Let's dive deeper into how to apply the "NPK" approach to nurture your most viable sales leads: N (Nurture): - Providing personalized attention and care to each lead, just as you would tend to a delicate seedling in a garden. - Maintaining regular communication through check-ins, updates, and addressing any questions or concerns. - Cultivating a genuine connection by showing genuine interest in the lead's needs, goals, and concerns. - Offering valuable resources, information, and support to help the lead navigate the decision-making process. P (Process): - Striking the right balance between allowing ample time for the lead to process and move through the decision-making stages, while also maintaining momentum. - Discerning when to apply more or less "pressure" (in a supportive way) to keep the process moving forward. - Providing structure and guidance to help the lead navigate the various steps and milestones in the sales cycle. - Ensuring the lead feels heard, understood, and respected throughout the entire process. K (Keep Moving Forward): - Anticipating and addressing any potential roadblocks or resistance that may arise, such as fear, uncertainty, or reluctance to make a decision. - Meeting the lead where they are emotionally and meeting their needs with empathy and care. - Gently guiding the lead through the "fight or flight" response, and helping them regain a sense of momentum and progress. - Celebrating small wins and milestones along the way to maintain enthusiasm and engagement. By applying this holistic "NPK" approach to lead management, you can create an environment that fosters growth, trust, and a sense of forward momentum - just as a well-tended garden nurtures and supports the development of healthy, thriving plants.

Now that we know which leads are our most viable seeds, it’s time to plant them in our garden ?? In gardening and in #sales, proper fertilizer is a must! For plants, fertilizer is made up of the nutrients, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (NPK) For #seniorliving, we can still apply the acronym NPK, and I like to do it with regard to lead management. Here’s what it looks like: ? N(urture): when things are nurtured well, they grow. Humans are no different ?? ? P(rocess): time and space are often required to process, but too much time and space can stop your move-in process in its tracks. Discernment between the two is critical ?? ? K(eep) moving forward: in stress, it’s natural for the body to get stuck in fight, “I am not leaving my home! Or flight, “I’ve decided not to move at this time.” As sales counselors, it’s important to anticipate this and then meet them where they’re at. You can’t move forward if you’re stuck in fight or flight ?? What does it look like to nurture a lead well? ?? ?? #salesenablement #nationalgardenmonth #leadnurturing #growwithcare

Why would 'Wood Lye' (Potassium Hydroxide made from leaching wood ash) be a great product for people attending the Chelsea Flower Show this week? ?? #biomass #chelseaflowershow Well Wood Lye has a number of properties that are just what the conscientious, environmentally friendly and chemical free gardener needs in their shed. You see Wood Lye has many great properties that all gardeners should have access to: 1. Wood Lye is high in potassium, and potassium is good for plant roots. It is especially good for plants which cannot tolerate chloride ions.?It is one of the big three plant food groups NPK ("K"). Note the "P" is phosphorus. Wood Lye is safer for seed placement as it forms potassium-phosphate compounds that do not contribute to the fertilizer’s salt content. 2. It can be used as a natural herbicide and/or fungicide, avoiding the need for dangerous and carcinogenic chemicals. 3. It can regulate soil pH as it is high in alkalinity (14) and so great for plants that cannot tolerate acidic soils. 4. AND if you mix it with phosphoric acid then it can also be used as a natural pesticide. So what is there not to like about Wood Lye? #environmentallyfriendly So if you are on your way to the Chelsea Flower Show have a look out for Wood Lye and see if any stallholder is selling it there. If they are then please let me know. Would be good to know! #gardening Perhaps the time is right for more natural solutions in our gardening world? ??

???? Planning your fall planting? Here are some essential tips to ensure a thriving garden this season: - Soil: Opt for well-draining soil rich in organic matter to promote healthy root growth. - Watering: Maintain consistent deep watering, especially in the less humid fall weather. Avoid overhead watering to prevent fungal diseases. - Mulching: Apply mulch to retain moisture, regulate soil temperature, and suppress weed growth. - Pruning: Trim dead or damaged branches and regularly deadhead spent blooms for continuous flowering. - Fertilizing: Use a balanced, slow-release fertilizer to provide essential nutrients to your plants. - Pest Control: Keep an eye out for pests and utilize organic solutions like neem oil or insecticidal soap. Attract beneficial insects like ladybugs and lacewings to your garden. - Planting Location: Choose a sunny, well-drained spot close to a water source for optimal plant growth. - Planting Time: September is ideal for sowing cool-season crops from seed. ?? Planting of strawberry seedlings 1. Remove some old leaves and large leaves on the strawberry seedlings, and keep two leaves and one heart as much as possible. 2. If the root system is too long, it needs to be shortened appropriately. 3. Prepare fungicides and nutrient solutions, such as seaweed, or rooting solutions. 4. Arrange the strawberry seedlings and soak them in the solution for about one minute to ensure that all the strawberry seedlings are covered with the solution. 5. Plant them. 6. After about 5 days, use the nutrient solution to irrigate the roots separately to strengthen the roots of the strawberry seedlings. #strawberry #seedlings #plant #greenhouse #seed

????4 Tips for Successful Intercropping! 1. Use Appropriate Spacing When intercropping, ensure plants have enough room to grow. Use the smallest spacing requirement of the crops being planted to avoid overcrowding. 2. Take Advantage of Plant Differences Intercropping works best when plants with different traits complement each other: - Combine plants with low leaf cover and shallow roots with those having larger leaf cover and deep roots. - Pair slow-growing crops with fast-growing ones to reduce competition. - Mix heavy feeders (nutrient-demanding plants) with light feeders (those requiring fewer nutrients). - Include aromatic plants to deter pests and flowering plants to attract beneficial insects. - Use trap crops to lure pests away from valuable plants. - Match climbers with sturdy stalks or bushes for natural support. 3. Diversify Plant Families Planting crops from different families reduces the risk of pest or disease outbreaks. Each family is typically vulnerable to specific threats, so diversifying creates a stronger, more resilient garden. 4. Plan for Transplanting and Seeding To avoid disturbing seeds during germination, follow these steps: Transplant first, then direct seed. Alternatively, direct seed first and wait for seedlings to emerge before transplanting. Base your method on the growth cycles of the plants you’re intercropping. Intercropping done right creates a thriving, balanced garden! #intercropping
