The most disheartening aspect is our government, which complies with whatever demands the hypocritical West makes. The West acts in its own interests. I strongly emphasize that no one will act in our interests if we do not. We need to change the government and install one that works in Somalia's interests. #Somalia – Beach breach At least 37 people were killed in a 03 August attack on a Mogadishu restaurant by the Al-Shabaab extremist group. The attack on Lido beach is indicative of the continued threat of armed militancy in Mogadishu and the country at large. The country’s already tenuous security environment could be further undermined if a transition to a new peacekeeping force in 2025 is not properly managed. Efforts to reform the electoral code could increase tensions between the federal government and certain political stakeholders. Persistent insecurity presents a downside risk to the economic outlook. I willn't write anything about the barbaric attack of Russia on residential areas of Odesa, only the #official message from the #rescuers: Russia struck Odesa And again the #target of the enemy is the #civilian #population. Hitting a residential quarter, as a result of which a fire broke out: several dozen cars were on fire, there was a threat of the fire spreading to residential buildings. Rescuers and volunteers extinguished the fire on a total area of 500 square meters. In cooperation with other operative services, assistance was provided to the victims. 2 #people were saved. According to preliminary information, 10 people died, another 43 were injured, including 4 #children. As a result of the strike, 3 apartment buildings, a university building, and 2 administrative buildings were damaged. This is war. I don't like innocent people getting killed - this is war. I don't terrorist hiding behind innocent people - this is war. The fact that innocent people are being killed in a war zone, this is unfortunate and happens. But why are they still there, and who is preventing them from leaving the area? If IDF is preventing from leaving, this is a crime. If Hamas, Hezbollah is preventing them - the anger should be directed at them. Perhaps someone wiser that I can advise why Egypt and other neighbors to the conflict area don't provide safe haven? The fact they don't, suggests there is are greater forces at play. Return all the hostages (as this is truly a war crime). Those responsible for those actions on the 7th Oct 2023, be adult and show your face, if you are so proud of your actions. I strongly condemn today’s explosion in Quetta, Pakistan, which tragically claimed many innocent lives. The only way to ensure a peaceful and stable region is to eradicate radicalism in both Afghanistan and Pakistan and to restore democracy in these nations. Afghanistan has suffered immensely from state-sponsored terrorism, which led to the collapse of its republic government. We must unite to dismantle extremist networks that threaten security and undermine democracy. A future of peace for our region depends on our commitment to end terrorism and uphold democratic values.

On the issue of what to do with the plethora of civilian armed outfits that are emerging in Nigeria. The greatest responsibility of containing their combat operations lies with the state governments that created and are supporting them.The state governments must make effort to have a serious thoughtout plan of how to disarm them when the need arises, and hoping it will not be beyond their capacity to do so. Eventually, without a thorough plan to disarm civilian security outfits the number of hybrid armed group actors in Nigeria may mushroom to an alarming magnitude. These civilian security outfits can in the future consolidate their power and become a threat to National Security. Consequently, there will be hybrid armed groups with young men toting guns freely on the streets and exacting force in the nation. State governments must before taking such action refer to the history of conflicts of other nations such as Libya and Somalia.

Why Arab World doesn't execute its fuel blocking experience after about one year slaughtering of Palestinians? During the major Arab-Israeli conflicts in the 20th century, such as the 1967 Six-Day War and the 1973 Yom Kippur War, several Arab nations enacted oil embargoes and fuel blockades as a strategic weapon against Israel and its allies. The most significant example was the 1973 oil crisis, where the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) led by Saudi Arabia imposed an embargo on oil exports to the United States, Canada, Japan, and several Western European countries. This was done in response to the West's support for Israel during the Yom Kippur War. The goals of these Arab oil and fuel blockades were multifaceted: Economic pressure - The aim was to inflict economic damage on Israel and its allies by restricting their access to critical energy supplies. Political leverage - The fuel blockades were intended to compel Western governments to reconsider their pro-Israel foreign policies. Disruption of military operations - Restricting fuel availability was seen as a way to undermine Israel's military capabilities and war efforts. The Arab oil embargo of 1973 in particular had a major global impact, leading to an energy crisis, skyrocketing oil prices, and economic recession in many countries. This demonstrated the substantial geopolitical leverage the Arab states could wield through controlling vital energy resources. However, the long-term effectiveness of these fuel blockades as a strategic weapon was limited. Israel was eventually able to find alternative sources of fuel, and the global backlash against the embargoes also damaged the Arab states' international standing and relationships. Overall, the experience highlighted the importance of energy security and the potential for oil and fuel to be used as political and economic weapons, especially in protracted regional conflicts like the Arab-Israeli dispute.

Time for Action in the North Yesterday, our hearts were shattered as 12 innocent children lost their lives in Majdal Shams, Golan Heights. An Iranian-made rocket, fired from Lebanon, struck a football field where these young souls were playing, robbing them of their futures. For nearly a year, Israel's northern border has been under constant threat. This latest tragedy underscores the urgent need for decisive action: 1. Hezbollah, while denying responsibility, is the primary suspect due to the type of rocket used. 2. Lebanon must be held accountable for allowing terrorist organizations to operate freely within its borders. 3. Israel has the right and obligation to defend its citizens. It's time for: ? Strengthening protection for northern communities ? A deterrent military response against launch sites ? International pressure on Lebanon to remove Hezbollah from the border ? Economic development of the northern region to bolster resilience We cannot accept this reality. Our children deserve a safe future. May the memory of those lost be a blessing.
