When your first pitch to someone fails, don't be scared to reach back out. Just make sure you add context the second time to frame up your next pitch. What's changed? What should they know now? What info can you give them? Who have you helped who's similar? Pitches land better with context. So give the context needed before you pitch again.

Before rushing headlong into jury rigging the last credentials deck or RFP response you did for the next new business pitch, I invite you to pause and allow yourself a moment to think critically about what’s being asked and to ask some questions of the client yourself. A good questioning strategy results in giving you a bigger, more dimensional picture of the client and the situation, which leads you to make smarter decisions about how you approach the pitch and ultimately win the business.
