?? Who is the merchant acquirer for Bonza? ??They are on the hook for up to $6.6 Million in chargebacks. If anyone knows who the acquirer is, you can message me privately OR if you're up for it, post it in the comments below. Here's why this is important: ? 33,000 customers have outstanding tickets ? Average ticket price is $150 - $200 ?Assuming the ALL paid by Visa or Mastercard This means that the acquirer is looking at chargebacks of somewhere between $5 Million and $6.6 Million. Most sophisticated acquirers understand future dated risk and would have secured this risk against an asset or cash. Given that Bonza had a limited amount of both, My guess is that whoever the acquirer is probably thought that any business is good business. And if you think this is hyprbole: "The financial position of the airline was so dire, employees were informed last week?they would not be paid for the month of April?and more than 300 staff were stood down." "Train Journeys of Scams" Everyone knows it and a very few cares and dares to talk about it. It always feels like impossible to have no corruption & scam on train journeys. Be it a train ticket booking, or a cup of tea, a plate of meal, a packet of snack or just a mere bottle of water. Everyone knows it. If you don't know the actual prices and process rhen you're more likely to be scammed. A random vendor boards the train at a very random place and sells random stuffs to the passengers at prices above on MRPs. It's not like that the Railway authorities are not trying to nab the corrupt staffs and take actions against them. But, it is so deep rooted in the hierarchy that it seems like impossible to make the journey scam free. In my last journey I got scammed by a vendor selling Sudha Milk products. I almost got double charged for the basic meal served by the trains own pantry car. The only solution I feel like is the digitization of the payments on train. No cash payments should be accepted by any of the vendors. This would help in ending these scams.
