Feeling proud and appreciative after a recent client meeting. I'm doing a Salesforce custom build for a client to help with relationship management, process management, and automations. Her needs are very specific to her role and the out-of-the-box solutions weren't enough. While on a call to discuss round 2 edits and solutions, we talked through her needs, scenarios to clarify her intentions and expectations, and several possibilities to meet outcomes. We talked through the fastest options to build and the ones that would provide savings over time. She ended the meeting by saying "this is the most productive meeting I've had all month. I'm so excited about this project." Honestly, this is the very best feedback I can receive from a client. Database/CRM work is tedious, not everyone's favorite type of work, and can be frustrating (as all tech can be). So, when I hit the mark to make a client feel productive in our conversations, enthusiastic about where the project is going, and provide a sense of relief that we can meet their end goals, I've done my job. Sometimes this happens in one-off meetings with end-users that are buried in other tasks. These moments are the sweetest as I know how hard nonprofit professionals have to work to serve their communities. Thank you to all of my clients for allowing me a slice of your busy day and for allowing me to be a part of your organization. I get to see your work from a different viewpoint. I'm grateful and humbled to help your teams and, hopefully, make your work life a little easier along the way. ?? ??
