F1 don’t aim for zero accident! Hell, they don’t even keep records of accidents – nothing formal that I could find at least! You can even argue that accidents are part of the thrill of F1 and - in a controversial way - good for business! But here is what they do, ???????? ??????’?? ?????????? ?????????????????? ???? ???????? ?????????? ??????????????... Since the tragic death of Ayrton Senna back in 1994, several changes and improvements transformed the industry. They didn’t prevent accidents, they didn’t even attempt do, but they made efforts so that when the accident happen – and they knew it will in a high-risk environment – the driver would be able to survive it. This is the whole essence of “?????????????? ????????” and they are really good at it. I use this example a lot when we talk about the concept of ?????????????? ????????, watch the below video, it is impressive that Romain Grosjean was able to survive that one. Was he lucky? maybe, but he didn’t only survive because of luck, he survived because of collective improvements made in tracks, car design, emergency response etc. Since Senna’s death, there was only one unfortunate other fatality.
