To All Professionals??? Are you afraid of tweens? There seems to be a universal belief that they are a bit of an anomaly. They lie in this no man’s land between child and teen. Grief is a deeply personal and complex emotional process that can profoundly impact adolescents’ lives, relationships, and academic performance. When you combine the awkwardness of being a tween and grief, you’ve got a recipe for a complicated population of grievers. By gaining a better understanding of the unique challenges faced by grieving middle schoolers, we can offer the support and resources to help them navigate through this difficult journey. This presentation identifies the developmental and social factors that come into play for adolescents and how those may impact peer support group dynamics. Participants have the opportunity to integrate this knowledge into action by practicing activities that can foster engagement and connection among tweens in peer support groups. Since the creation of the internet, we have used technology to better the donor experience, for increasingly more donors: email, video, online payments, automated gift documentation, crowdfunding, etc. As a fundraising community we use these because (on balance) they are better for donors. Expanding the digital workforce with Autonomous Fundraising is the next step. The difference is that it is a huge step rather than incremental improvement. It is a sea change in the fundraising workforce: the work of human fundraisers supplemented by the work of a digital workforce. At a stroke, all the donors who did not fit into fundraiser portfolios now receive the personalized, curated attention we always wished we could provide. Matthew Lambert, Dan Frezza, and Paul J. Sutera are at the forefront of this new territory - their insights, learnings, and vision of "what next" helps other advancement first-movers make informed decisions. #AIagent #DigitalWorkforce
Our great friends and partners Matthew Lambert, William & Mary Foundation; Dan Frezza, College of Charleston; and Paul J. Sutera, Sacred Heart University will present with CEO Adam Martel next week at the AGB (Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges) Foundational Leadership Forum next week in Washington DC. These pioneering leaders in AI and Autonomous Fundraising will look at the reality of the fundraising workforce - that there will never be enough fundraiser capacity to personally engage every generous donor, regardless of their giving level. They'll show you how Autonomous Fundraising creates digital labor that addresses this labor shortage. But most of all, you'll learn how Virtual Engagement Officers (VEOs) are transforming donor engagement, the actual results they've achieve from working with donors, how donors are responding, and what the future holds for advancement teams already implementing digital labor strategies. We can't wait to present to you on Friday, January 31st at 10:10 am at #AGB.

Learn more about Sponsorship and its benefits to improving diversity with today's release from Champions of Change Coalition. We've been delivering our Sponsorship Program with clients since 2019. To find out more go to the the link included in the comments. #diversity #inclusion #careeradvancement #leadershipdevelopment #managebias
We’ve learned so much about the power of executive sponsorship in advancing women into leadership—all captured in this new resource called “Sponsorship Track”, released today by @Champions of Change Coalition. My heartfelt thanks to all our Members, Implementation Leaders, Program Directors, Convenors and the thousands of participants in our sponsorship pilots over the past decade who have shared their successes and lessons learned, so that many others can have a great experience as a sponsor or sponsee in the future. Probably the most important lesson I've learned from being sponsored and receiving sponsorship is that the collaboration benefits both parties.?What I love is that when you sponsor someone, you always gain just as much, if not more, than you give. ? A special shout out?to all the incredible people who have sponsored me throughout my career. There was no program or guidance. You just did it because you could, and I am forever grateful. Hugh Keller, Peter Johnstone, Richard Fisher AM, Lisa Chung AM, Sam Mostyn, Audrey Page, Catherine Harris AO PSM, Tom Calma AO, Mick Gooda, Susan Ryan, Andrew Colvin AO APM, Quentin Bryce and many more. A very big THANK YOU.? ? We hope this guide encourages and supports many more people and organisations to give it a go. Champions of Change Coalition ? Download the guide:?https://lnkd.in/gEFDCS9u

The other morning, it wasn’t even 8 a.m. and I was already behind. That’s a terrible feeling! Luckily, I knew what to do. In my latest newsletter, I outline the 4 simple steps I take when I get overloaded and overwhelmed. Scan the QR code on the image to read how I do it. You’ll also find links to a couple of my latest blogs: How to Take the WORK Out of Networking is a great resource for anyone who is intimidated by the idea of networking, worries that they don’t know how to do it well, or wants to take their efforts to the next level. Leveling Up Your Member Engagement is for my association friends, to help you grow the kind of members who show up, volunteer, serve on committees and even move into leadership positions. I'd love to hear from you on what you think! #newsletter #timemanagement #Networking #association #associationmembership

The Eternal Throne: Community Leadership Edition Isn’t it interesting how some leaders in community and professional organizations stay glued to their seats for decades well into their 50s and 60s, holding onto the throne like it’s their birthright? Year after year, they preside over stagnation—no growth, no energy, no innovation. I know a few people who have been Presidents for 20 years. Then, in a flash of "brilliance," they announce a Youth Chapter. What a fresh idea! But wait… this “youth” initiative somehow ends up filled with their children, nieces, nephews, and whoever else is in the family group chat. Cue the complaints: "The community doesn’t support us!" "Why a new organization is needed? Our mission is the same" Well, maybe the problem is that you’ve turned the organization into a family and friends reunion, where only your circle gets a say. True community leadership is about passing the torch, not holding onto it until it burns out. Just a thought.
