Always empowering to be among women leaders sharing their stories. And leading other women, let’s not use women as a cross cutting issue we are all human beings and have equal rights, let’s stand up and Show up, as women we are not victims it’s only a mindset #YMCAVision2030
“It may sometimes feel like a cliché,” said Eunice Ogolo, Director of Girl Capital, CIFF, “but women continue to be disproportionately impacted by many issues, and the empowerment of women will continue to remain relevant.” ?? Eunice delivered the keynote at a powerful 90-minute discussion on Women’s Leadership. Joining her were three inspiring women from YMCA Kenya, along with a panel of YMCA leaders: Sunita Suna (Asia and Pacific Alliance of YMCAs), Jillian Law (YMCA Scotland), and Mai Jarrar (The East Jerusalem YMCA). The session was moderated by Maria Giraldo (YMCA America Latina & Caribe). One of the standout moments came from Mai Jarrar, who received a strong round of applause when she said: “When we work with women, we assume the women are victims. In truth, we are not victims. We choose to be weak or strong.” ??
