In this month's CGC Journal, we dive into the War Waged Against Black Women and DEI. Plus, we ask the critical question: Why do a majority of White women vote polar opposite of the majority of Black women ... and all nonwhite women? We want to hear from you. Join our co-learning community and let's have a conversation. To make substantive progress we must understand the enemies of our progress. https://lnkd.in/gctvFRz5

Deliverance as an Entrepreneur In the journey of entrepreneurship, deliverance is more than just a word; it’s a necessity. The challenges faced by entrepreneurs often extend beyond the physical realm, seeping into the mental and spiritual spaces where doubts, fears, and anxieties can cripple even the most driven individuals. This is where the concept of a spiritual war room becomes not just a refuge but a strategic battleground. As entrepreneurs, we are constantly navigating uncharted waters, facing battles that require more than just business acumen. The pressures of building a business, securing investments, managing teams, and sustaining a vision can weigh heavily on the spirit. Without deliverance—freedom from the chains of negative thoughts, self-doubt, and external influences—our potential remains shackled. A spiritual war room is where these chains are broken. It’s a sacred space, whether physical or metaphorical, where you engage in deep prayer, meditation, and reflection. Here, you can seek guidance, strength, and clarity from a higher power, tapping into the divine wisdom that transcends human understanding. In this room, you fight not with traditional weapons but with faith, perseverance, and the belief that your journey is guided by something greater than yourself. Deliverance in entrepreneurship means freeing yourself from the fears that limit your vision, the doubts that erode your confidence, and the distractions that divert your focus. It’s about recognizing that success isn’t just about the external achievements but also about the internal victories—overcoming the battles within that no one else sees. In your spiritual war room, you lay out your plans, not just on paper but in prayer, seeking alignment with your purpose. You wage war against the negative forces that threaten to derail you, knowing that true deliverance comes from within. It’s in this space that you find the resilience to rise above obstacles, the courage to take risks, and the peace to keep moving forward, knowing that you are never alone in this journey. As an entrepreneur, your spiritual war room is your fortress, your place of strength, and your source of deliverance. It’s where you remember that while the battles are many, victory is assured when you align your spirit with your purpose.

Beginning to dig into the Spring 2024 Edition of Nonprofit Quarterly Magazine, and without question, it’s a powerful and instructive read! ???????????? The latest edition of the magazine primarily sheds light on the amount of energy and skill Black women in social sector leadership are forced to expend to navigate unjust intersectional power dynamics. The pieces also offer a window into the resulting consequences for organizational leadership and management. If you’ve been following my thoughts here, and other places, these topics have been on my mind for Black leaders, more generally, and NPQ has been such a tremendous resource. Check it out and apply the lessons!
The Spring 2024 edition of NPQ Magazine is here! This edition is a resounding “no” in the face of the travesty that Black women leaders, and other women of color leaders, have been contending with in the sector.
