Community Power, Public Power, Rural Power! Groundswell CEO, Author, TVA Board Member, Church Member
This is what community power looks like, and it’s so beautiful. Today, Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm visited the VICARS Communty Resilience Center in Atlanta and spent the morning talking with local leaders including Dr. Erica L. Holloman-HIll, who is also a national thought leader on community resilience, and Chandra Farley, Atlanta Chief Resilince Officer, who co-envisioned this project as a way to demonstrate what a just energy future can look like. I am so proud did the role that Groundswell, Inc. has played leading the development, financing strategy, and delivery of this solar and energy storage installation. What we have built simply acknowledges and celebrates the inherent role that VICARS was created to serve in the community. And without the Inflation Reduction Act, “Direct Pay” solar tax credits, and the commitment of the Biden-Harris Administration, this project - which is community-owned and features American Made battery technology from Stryten Energy that is made in Georgia - would not have been possible. Overflowing with gratitude!
This is powerful, there's always greatness in togetherness. Much respect and congratulations ????
