???Exciting news in the vascular surgery field Prof. Hyhlik-Dürr, MD, and the team at University Hospital Augsburg have kicked off the pre-study phase of a multi-center study being led by the hospital's vascular department. They have officially performed their first endovascular surgery performed with the latest Brainlab innovation, Vascular Navigation PAD. The team expressed their satisfaction with the software's performance, highlighting its potential to save contrast agent, reduce radiation exposure and provide an enhanced overview of the patient's anatomy. If you want to learn more about this cutting-edge technology, Prof. Hyhlik-Dürr will be giving a presentation on Vascular Navigation PAD and sharing his expert insights at the MAC Symposium in Munich, from December 5th-6th. Stay tuned for more updates on this new innovation... #medtech #digitalhealth #vascularsurgery

?? Exciting findings from a recent study?????? During a comprehensive investigation into robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery, researchers at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University College of Engineering, and The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School discovered a fascinating insight. Visual distortion significantly impacted 41.4% ± 28.1% of the total operative time. ???? ?? The implications are profound: - Surgeons rely heavily on visual cues during minimally invasive procedures. - Distorted visuals can lead to longer operative times, affecting patient outcomes. - Innovations in laparoscopic technology are crucial for improving precision and clarity. Kudos to Jessica Dae, Zachary Rickmeyer, and Aaron Laviana for shedding light on this critical aspect of surgical practice! ?? #MedTech #SurgicalInnovation #HealthcareResearch
?? ClearCam Friends ?? Welcome back to Clear Insights! Did you know? ?? During a study on robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery, it was observed that 41.4% ± 28.1% of the total operative time was affected by visual distortion. ?? Surgeons face the challenge of operating with compromised visibility for almost half of the surgery, even with frequent ex vivo cleaning of the scope, to maintain that compromised vision. ???? This study was conducted by students from The University of Texas at Austin of Texas HLA program: Jessica Dae Mahija G., Zachary Rickmeyer and Aaron Laviana. Our CEO Dr. John Uecker MD, FACS and CTO Dr. Christopher Idelson, PhD were also part of this research. ?? ?? #AdvancingProsthesis: Bridging the Sensory Gap in Upper Limb Technology I recently read an insightful review article, "Upper limb prostheses: bridging the sensory gap" by Aidan D. Roche and colleagues in the Journal of Hand Surgery (European Volume). This paper does an excellent job of covering the key methods currently used to restore sensory feedback in prosthetic limbs, essential for closed-loop prosthesis control. What stands out in this review is the level of detail the authors provide on each approach, illustrated through clear diagrams and visualizations that make complex concepts accessible. From tactile feedback systems to neural interfaces, the article covers a broad range of techniques, offering a comprehensive view of the progress toward more intuitive and responsive prosthetic systems. For anyone exploring sensory feedback solutions in prosthetics, this article is a must-read! Read more about the paper here:?? https://lnkd.in/gn4f9Gf2 Stay tuned as I continue sharing highlights from the latest in prosthetic technology and sensory integration. #Prosthetics #SensoryFeedback #ClosedLoopControl #AssistiveTech #Innovation #HandSurgery #Neuroscience #Robotics
