AI is no longer competing with designers – now it’s competing with photographers. You can watch the prompts and process here: https://lnkd.in/dyMF5A6z MidJourney version 5 just came out a day ago. This is how I use it. Version 4 was already a cut above the competition, but now version 5 has made a leap in photo-realism and renders of people. I prompted it to get realistic textures of canvas and nylon and to make the geometry of the vehicle exterior and interior more accurate. As a creative director who works with international brands to make campaign ideas, brand stories, and product innovations – I’m astounded by the acceleration it brings to my process. From the 100 images that I generated in one day, I chose the 8 images you see here as the ones which best represent the idea. Jeep X The North Face The idea is to make something functional, stylish, and reliable while increasing desirability among adventure-seekers. A brand collaboration between Jeep and The North Face could tap into a wider customer base and increase their market share of outdoor enthusiasts. From rooftop cargo carriers to trunk liners, seat covers, bags, extra interior storage pockets, and even a keychain – limited edition collections like these are highly sought after. Also, it seems to be a better match than Nike x Tiffany ;) One of the images was made with version 4. Can you tell which one? Can you see the difference in version 5 images? #JeepXTheNorthFace #AIGenerated #BrandDesign #BrandCollab Disclaimer: The images generated are the results of experimenting with AI. The results do not reflect the views or plans of either brand. This post is meant for educational purposes. Please don’t sue me.

Do we know if the AI paid to license the photography or did it find them royalty free and license them? Or worse, did it just steal them and ‘interpret’ them into something new…
Holy macaroni. That’s amazing. Would you be able to share how you got there, eg the prompts you used and different iterations you made Eric Groza ?
Eric Groza Wow, you’re a MidJourney whisperer. Amazing concepts. Following to see what else you come up with. Mind sharing the prompts?
I suppose the image with the seats is made with version 4, there are some glitches in there - at the windows and passenger seat. Well, version 5 is not out of glitches either. Regarding the assumption that Midjourney will take the photographer's place, I think is not entirely true. Yes, it does accelerate some processes, and yes, it is amazing, but for now, you can use it only as a representation of reality, not as reality itself. But I suppose it's only the beginning. I hope Midjourney will solve the copyright issues. AI doesn't create from nothing, it uses references: images, illustrations, or photography. I had surprised to find watermarks on a Midjourney creation. This means that you do not have the certainty that your creation is completely original, that it is not partially a copy of a "real" artist.
The first image after the logo slide is generated with V4. Hence, the image showing the rear side of the car.
I’m guessing the little zipper pouch with key chain is V4. It seems to have some redundancies and random transitions I’ve experienced in V4.
Wow, I was not aware of the new version of MidJourney, it looks impressive. Btw fun fact, photo #8 says “The NOTH Face”. Maybe it was trained with several photos of “non-official” TNF manufacturers ????

1 年I'm genuinely curious how the AI generated images compare to a real Jeep Wrangler. Anyone a Jeep owner/enthusiast/employee who can identify some of the flaws here?
