All management should know this process. watch this video and implement it..
This reel has been going viral & I’m happy as I believe that public activism is the only way to drive changes in anything you want in life, be it politics or corporate culture, health or climate change. It doesn’t matter whether I said it or someone else, if you feel strongly about something, dare to speak up and DO something about it ! As Gandhiji said “ be the change you wish to see”

Jackson Electric Youth Ambassadors kicked off the new year with more cooperative learning, participation in various team building activities, and a video call to Washington D.C. Sydney Scott, Director of Appropriations & Senior Policy Advisor for Senator Baldwin, spoke with the students from her office in Washington, D.C. She shared her story of growing up on a cranberry farm in Warrens, Wis. and her experience with cooperatives. She also shared her journey to Capitol Hill which included participation as a teen in Oakdale Electric Cooperative's youth ambassador program and the NRECA Youth Tour. She encouraged the students to be hard workers and to develop good communications skills because these are things future employers will desire. Most importantly, she said, "Don't be afraid to take the first step into unfamiliar territory because it could lead to something great." Sydney took that first step which has led to her current position of overseeing the senator's portfolios for agriculture, environmental, and energy for the State of Wisconsin.

If you’re a newsletter subscriber, you’ll know that only two weeks ago we were discussing The Walkley's ongoing reluctance?to cut their ties to Big Oil. Since then, the prestigious journalism awards?have announced?they will NOT renew their major sponsorship deal with Ampol. This is a huge win for activist-led climate action and a long overdue move from the foundation, established in 1956 by Ampol founder?William Walkley. The decision comes after a long campaign of public lobbying – and, in some cases,?boycotting of the awards entirely?– by a handful of Australia’s most respected journalists and cartoonists. While not led by employees within the organisation itself, this is a really meaningful example of the kind of influence workers in an industry can have on climate conversations. So, what can we learn from this? Employee-led action can come in many forms, and organisations are beginning to understand the reputational and business damage that comes from ignoring the destructive forces of the fossil fuel industry. The time to act is now. Sign up to our newsletter for more industry updates like this ?? https://lnkd.in/gCpFGr4 Read more about Walkley's move away from oil here ??https://lnkd.in/gHWSTFRg

At Fluence Media / Fluence Advisory, aligning a synchronized public affairs and corporate communications strategy is vital during times of volatility. The recent Axios piece provides valuable insights into the current state of the "roller coaster". In navigating the challenges posed by politics, protests, and social activism, it's crucial for organizations to adopt a proactive rather than reactive communications approach. Check out the article here: https://lnkd.in/gFAbyKJH In an election year filled with heightened emotions and increased polarization, corporate communicators must assertively communicate key values essential for the success of the enterprise. ?? How do you get everyone in a community to stay up to date on #transportation updates even if they don’t have access to internet? You get creative.?? ??Strategic Communications Discipline Leader Amy Livingston explains how she used texting campaigns, posters on busses, and large community meeting grounds to target an entire #community of people. “Some of our projects were very regional and we needed everyone to be engaged, but there were certainly pockets of communities that we needed to make sure that they were not left behind.” ?“Think about your sports leagues and the junior baseball teams and the soccer teams. If you could start talking to those folks, they also know who the movers and shakers are in the community and can also be influential,” she says. ?? Watch Amy Livingston and environmental social justice advocate Autumn McNeill, MPH discuss their innovative communications strategies. #Transportation #CompleteCorridors #CompleteStreets #RightOfWay #Communications
