Honored to speak at Money 2020 about the use of AI in Compliance. Thanks so much to my fellow panelists, Shara Chang (CCO of Chime), Melissa Strait (CCO of Coinbase) and Seth Rosenberg(General Partner at Greylock) for the great conversation. Here are some of my key takeaways: - Between the slew of consent orders and overwhelmed teams, it's clear that the status quo is not working. Innovation is a necessity and not an option (i.e. "Innovate or die") - Start with low risk, high value use cases of AI. These are the ones that will help you build AI fluency in your company and momentum around new initiatives - Transaction monitoring alert remediation is a massive area for GenAI and it's something that we're excited to lead the way for at Greenlite - While there isn't specific regulatory guidelines for AI models, we need to build model validation and model risk management programs in line with the current best guidance (e.g. OCC 2011-12) It was an energizing panel - thanks again to everyone who came! If you ever want to talk more about AI and Compliance, feel free to reach out.
?? Model validation for bank risk teams is going to get more and more challenging. Huge constraint at the moment

It was great seeing you!
Congrats Will Lawrence!!
Be nice if the agencies would broaden the Interagency guidance on Third-party risk Management to address AI
Important to focus on innovation in compliance. AI's impact on transaction monitoring is promising. Model validation and risk management are indeed crucial. What do you think is the next big trend in AI for compliance?
Kudos for pushing innovation forward and tackling those crucial challenges with such vigor.?
