Here's an interesting point about the future of chip design. Thought it was worth sharing! Letizia Giuliano, VP of IP Product Marketing at Alphawave Semi, shared insights on the challenges of developing and integrating these chiplets, the issues that might come up, and how this approach differs from traditional SoC design. The old method of shrinking process nodes to pack more features onto a single piece of silicon doesn’t really work anymore. It’s become too expensive and limited for many applications. The shift now is toward heterogeneous chiplets—small, specialized chips designed for specific markets.
