Two decades fly by in a blink when shared with the right people. Recently, I had the honor of celebrating a 20 year work anniversary with a colleague who had been a cornerstone of our team. It's moments like these that remind us of the immense value in building strong, lasting relationships at work. The bonds we've crafted over these years have weathered challenges and celebrated victories. Here’s what I've learned from two decades alongside incredible people: → Shared purpose is powerful. When everyone rallies around a common goal, it transforms daily tasks into meaningful pursuits. → Trust is the glue. It's the foundation that holds us together through tough times and amplifies our triumphs. → Celebrate every win. Big or small, victories keep us motivated and remind us why we started this journey together. → Empathy elevates. Understanding and supporting each other’s unique strengths fosters a thriving environment. Reflecting on two decades, it’s clear that the people around us make the journey worthwhile. We’ve not only built an outstanding team but a work family. As we look forward to more years ahead, I’m grateful for every lesson learned and every moment shared. Some dates are always special such as today, the date when we launched Silver Talkies Club six years ago in 2018, based on the inputs from attendees of our events. They wanted to meet more often, know their co-participants better and have more fun and engaging opportunities. Hence Silver Talkies Club was born in a time and age when active ageing, loneliness and isolation among older adults were not spoken about or discussed much in our country. I was in fact told by many peers that I was playing in a small niche field. Fast forward to 2024, almost every new player in the senior care space is looking at addressing similar issues with similar models. Did we start too early or did they start too late? I think it is immaterial for as they say that all's well that ends well. What is most heartening for me is to note that in the pic below all the people who became members in 2018 are still members in 2024, with the exception of one member whom we lost a few months ago. Today marks my ?? anniversary at Exadel ?? This is a good time to reflect on why I am still here, even though sometimes I feel the urge for change. In these moments, I ask myself the following questions: - Do the company's values still match my own? - Is the company still growing? - Does my contribution still bring significant value to the company? - Does the company appreciate what I do? - Am I surrounded by professionals at a higher level that I can aspire to? - Are there people who benefit from my experience and expertise? - Is there a supportive environment here that believes in me? - Can I continue to gain new experiences here? - By working in this company, do I become stronger and more skilled both as a professional and as a person? And year after year, I get a "YES" to all these most important questions. Of course, like any company, there are challenges here, but they do not overshadow the benefits I see for my professional and personal growth. I am grateful for these 10 years and look forward to the future with optimism, expecting new opportunities and achievements ??

Celebrating My 2nd Anniversary at Avon Medical Practice Limited Today marks a significant milestone in my career—two years at Avon Medical Practice Limited. Reflecting on this journey, I am deeply grateful for the opportunities and challenges I’ve encountered. Here are the key lessons I’ve learned along the way: God First: Make God your pillar. Be thankful for every moment, whether good or challenging. Seek His guidance before embarking on any assignment, familiar or not. Trusting in Him has been a constant source of strength for me. Observe and Digest Before Acting: This principle has made my journey smoother. As a leader, it’s crucial not to rush decisions. Take time to think through the potential consequences. It’s perfectly fine to say, "Let me get back to you on this," when you’re uncertain. Taking a moment to reflect doesn’t show weakness but wisdom. Continuous Learning and Wealth of Experience: I have learned immensely from my colleagues, both within my field and in related areas. Brainstorming sessions have often pushed me back to the drawing board, sparking growth and new ideas. The Internal Audit Community of Practice at the Group level has been instrumental in enhancing my knowledge and skills. Lastly, step outside your comfort zone. Success often lies beyond familiar territory. While venturing into the unknown may be daunting at first, it leads to growth and improvement.
