Digital Government in Europe has come a long way. Great progress has been made in enabling and improving user-centric online services. However, I believe, the best is yet to come! #Interoperability between countries and within government tiers, realising the full potential of #once-only, trusted authentication services enabling personal data management, digital rights and principles embedded in service design, truly inclusive and seamless user experiences - the Interoperable Europe Act, eIDAS, WAD, Declaration on Rights and Principles a.o., fueled with new technologies such as #AI, will now push Europe forward in realising a single digital market and a digital economy and society that empowers its citizens and businesses. The foundations are in place, the course is set and momentum is building across Europe. Starting and growing your business, studying, living, working, using eHealth services and many more - irrespective of the country, without digital borders. That is my take for the next decade. Ask me in 10 years time if we made it :-).
