Harmless Halloween pranks can be a blast… but they need to truly be HARMLESS.
Being Criminal Defense Attorneys, we’ve seen it all. From pranks gone bad, to pranks gone REALLY bad. Here’s some tips from an attorney that could help you stay out of trouble this spooky season:
?? Avoid trespassing. If it isn’t public property, or your own property, you should probably steer clear.
?? Don’t destroy, deface, or damage anything. Vandalism charges aren’t worth the quick laugh you’ll get from egging someone’s home, or spray painting property.
?? Don’t cause a panic: Things like fake weapons seem harmless, but if it causes genuine fear or panic, it could land you with an assault charge.
??Avoid reckless acts like setting traps, using fireworks, or anything that could lead to an injury.
Let’s take the treats, and leave the “tricks” to the ghouls and goblins this year.
