We went to a St. Patrick's parade today in Dallas. Why was it on a Saturday and a day before St. Patrick's Day? No idea. Perhaps, operationally, that was the most rational outcome. I had no expectations and no prior experience of watching such parades. I also don't drink (which might be shunned upon on such a day ????♂?). So, it was an interesting experience to say the least. As all celebrations go, people enjoyed themselves - and this is great to see. I love seeing people come together and share joy and laughter. As businesses go, they didn't pass on the opportunity to advertise. Most of the actual parade were various different companies with big banners and much of green color. I saw businesses from local pizzeria and a small lawyer firm to gyms to larger corporations and banks. A long line of trucks and other huge vehicles with plenty of people on top dancing and throwing various green and gold colored freebies towards gathered onlookers. So a few lessons I took away with me: 1. Parades and celebrations can be huge and a great opportunity to advertise and get a new market share. Next big thing? I'd imagine a solar eclipse in April. 2. It's always great to get out and celebrate together, whatever the occasion might be. I wasn't particularly in the mood this morning, but this outing made me feel better. 3. With so many people gathered together in the same area, it's a good place to gather data and push petitions. There were several groups of people gathering signatures for ongoing petitions (mostly about decriminalizing certain behaviors). But what a smart move - a lot of slightly inebriated people having much fun and not listening much to what exactly they are signing (without intention of sounding ominous). I mean it when I say that High Caliber Karting & Entertainment is the most fun that you can have in the greater Lansing area. I created this video with the help of Jacki Krumnow ?, and the team at high caliber karting. It was my goal to create this video as cost-effectively as possible, so many of the shots were captured on a variety of phone cameras such as the S23 and iPhone 14. It just goes to show the amount of quality you can get with a good vision and knowledge of your platform's strengths. The other thing that I considered when creating this piece of content is: Where is this going to be delivered? How is this video going to achieve the goals of the business? What does this video do? What will the viewers be thinking when they watch this? - All of these questions led me to a budget-friendly deal for High Caliber Karting's event department and won the bid as a freelance editor and producer.

This was such a fun exercise! I love seeing everyone's workspaces, they really do reflect our personalities. I cheated, though. We are in the middle of selling our house so my space is much less cluttered than usual. I'm often asked how Fractional Law Firm CMO functions with everyone working remotely. Do I like it? Does our team feel connected? Our team spans 3 states and is growing. We stay connected using MSTeams.link and Asana and Zoom and other tools. I feel as productive and connected - perhaps even more so - than I did going into an office every day. #workingfromhome is not just about getting the laundry done, doing the dishes, going for a run, and picking up the kids (on time!!) - those are all great things, no doubt. But being able to DO those things? On YOUR time? With flexibility? That is the real benefit. ?More time = Less stress At the end of the day, time is the most valuable commodity.

While I'm not typically an early bird, I was this weekend. I needed to be so I could celebrate my brother’s 70th birthday with him in person. ??The highlight: four siblings spending a day together in Kannapolis, NC - hometown of 2 of my brothers; and the Earnhardt Nascar racing family.?? In business there are *early adopters*, that follow innovators and precede early majority. ??Early adopters are often risk takers. Their actions influence others to adopt a new product or new behavior. They willingly embrace being ahead of the curve. If you consider yourself to be this kind of person you have a great opportunity here on LinkedIn. ?Today's B2B buyers are using LinkedIn to research companies they want to do business with. ?Those sellers and marketers who have an active presence and a strong brand online are the ones that buyers will see and when they are ready, reach out to. ?Or more likely, those buyers will be receptive to warm outreach due to a history of active engagement with them or their colleagues online. ??Get in the LinkedIn game by commenting and engaging with those in your network to grow your presence and brand.
