Most marketers use AI to create content for people. But we're starting to create content for AI. Creating messaging for humans is still needed (for now), but soon we'll be creating messaging for AI agents and assistants making decisions on our behalf. This week, Nelson Vanegas and I spoke to Dr. Sunny Shuoyang Zhang marketing class at the University of St. Thomas (TX). We shared how we use AI at Goodspero to create detailed buyer personas for our clients and the 8-step framework we use for prompting AI to help us create content that speaks to audiences at every stage of the (traditional) marketing funnel. But the future goes beyond that. With AI wearables and assistants anticipating our needs, suggesting solutions, and even making purchasing decisions for us, brands will have to start marketing our AI agents themselves. It’s a shift that’s coming faster than we think. A huge thank you to Sunny for inviting us. Anyone in her class is lucky to have such an engaging professor who brings in diverse perspectives.
