What does this mean to you? If your employees aren’t consistently providing excellent customer service and delighting customers and donors, you risk losing their business forever. Customer service is crucial. Consider how you respond to poor service—do you ever return to that company? You might find yourself shopping online at Amazon instead. I received Amazon's holiday catalog yesterday. On the one hand, I decided it was creepy because Big Brother must have been listening to my recent conversation with my mother.?? On the other hand, I knew the time had come for me to write my annual post about end-of-year fundraising. Here we go! Yes, there are NPOs that have millions in the bank and dedicate an entire department to fundraising and marketing. However, most NPOs have a shoe-string budget with team members wearing multiple hats while constantly moving to put out one fire after another. If you find yourself in the latter category, I encourage you to cheat...I mean learn from others. Amazon probably had their first strategy sessions about the 2024 Holidays months ago. Don't beat yourself up if your NPO's end-of-year fundraising strategy sessions have not taken place, but do schedule them, like NOW! You can't execute a three-month strategy, but you can plan to end the final six weeks or two months of 2024 with intention. PRO TIP: Don't try to recreate the wheel! Focus on leveraging existing grant language or talking points that have resonated with partners throughout 2024 to craft your NPO's end-of-year fundraising campaign. #grantwriter #nonprofits #sharing #experience #funding
