How do my predictions from 2019 stack up? We went through the archives and dug out some of our old podcast episodes Quite funny listening back to my opinions from almost 5 years ago!! Turns out, I wasn't too far off Things have continued to become more automated But our role as a marketing agency is no less important As we do less hands-on tinkering, we have had to evolve and provide support in more strategic and creative ways And at PK, we are setting ourselves up to continue riding this trend as it continues over the next 5 years again Building out a creative department, training our teams to be strategic partners, and leaning into the automation we have available All of this will help us remain relevant in an increasingly automated world!

I was on a podcast this last week and went on a bit of a rant about how marketing is ultimately the responsibility of the CEO. . As a business owner, growth is your primary responsibility. Therefore, marketing is your responsibility. Therefore, contemporary communication is your responsibility. Therefore social media is your responsibility. . How your business communicates rests solely on the shoulders of the CEO - it’s that way in every successful organization. The CMO reports directly to the CEO just like the CFO reports directly to the CEO. Finances and communication are two of the most important things in a growing business. . You don’t have to be a marketing expert, but you have to build a team of people who are. And you’ll never not have to champion it.

I just had my mind blown. This is by FAR the scariest (and coolest) AI functionality I've seen yet. My jaw hit the floor. A new model with the ability to take any written piece of content, and turn it into a VERY real and robust podcast episode. In this example - I fed it an article I wrote recently about driving marketing ROI for portfolio companies. Listen to this small snippet of the 30minute podcast it made for it ?? Absolutely unreal. The "hosts" add a ton of context and external perspective, building on the concepts I started. Such a powerful display of what technology can do, but also a scary look ahead into what's to come in content creation, copyright infirgment, etc. What do you guys think, scary or cool?
