Cervical screening is for everyone with a cervix aged 25 to 74, including people with disability. If you are a health professional, please note people with disability may ask you to help them take a sample if they have difficulty doing it themselves. When you're talking about cervical screening, make sure you're discussing your patient's accessibility requirements and let them know they have the choice about how their test is done. ??♀? May is #MobilityAwarenessMonth! Mobility is the most common area of disability, affecting 1 in 7 people worldwide — and mobility challenges are even more common in people living with #scleroderma. ?? Scleroderma causes skin thickening, making movements in the wrists, elbows and legs difficult and painful. Patients' bones and muscles are also affected, and changes under the ball of the feet can cause them to feel like they are walking on pebbles. ?? Let's raise awareness and ensure mobility is not a limitation! #SclerodermaAwareness #MobilityAwareness

Intimate partner violence, also known as domestic violence, affects millions of people in the U.S. and can have devastating consequences to the health and well-being of people experiencing it. As we recognize #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth, it’s important that clinicians know they can make a difference by screening all pregnant and postpartum people and all women of reproductive age for intimate partner violence, and then connecting those who need it to support. The #USPSTF also examined the issue of caregiver abuse in older or vulnerable adults, but unfortunately found that there is not enough current evidence on the use of related screening tools in primary care, so we’re urgently calling for more #research. Detransitioners are starting to speak out about state sponsored abuse Get ready NZ to see an army of detransitioners in the next few years given our health system put 1000 confused lesbian, bisexual and straight girls on puberty blockers in the last three years. In 2023 there were 740 children on puberty blockers in New Zealand up from 137 in 2010. New Zealand is giving our children puberty blockers at a rate 10 times that of the UK, who rightfully stopped doing it altogether. Yet while the rest of the world stops this child abuse our health system is gearing up abuse children at an even higher rate. HealthNZ scored funding via the womens health strategy to increase the number of girls they can remove there healthy breast for instance. Along with my more clinicians to transition an increasing number of confused children. And if you want to know why there is this increasing demand look no further than the rise in transgender influences, trans peers and activists groups such as WPATH, PATHA and InsideOut NZ. More importantly girls who were typically only 0.003% of the population are now over 50% of all those on puberty blockers when boys are typically 0.01% of the population. It's called a rapid onset gender dysphoria contagion that has impacted girls in all western countries. That's why the UK, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, France, many US states and the Netherlands have all stopped transitioning children. We also have the more recent WPATH leaks which shows everyone involved knows these children are unable to make these life changing health decisions. Along with the Cass reviews that shows this has all been a horrible failed experiment. Yet despite knowing all this our government is shielding this abuse in the name of vote getting. Remember rainbow people vote, children don't. I have also heard rumours that some Australian and New Zealand detransitioners are taking our health systems to court for ill-treatment/mistreatment. Perhaps the first NZ detransitioners to speak up. But how many are to afraid to speak up. The trans community, WPATH and PATHA all agree no one should talk about detransitioning children. They are ostracised by the all caring rainbow community. So in effect there victimised twice, once by our health system and then by the trans community. Absolute villains in this ongoing horror story of child abuse. Another day yet another gender confused child put on puberty blockers. Good on you NZ your world champs at abusing mentally ill children – take a bow https://lnkd.in/eercZFAb
