So much to think on after attending the #NetZeroFestival hosted by BusinessGreen last week... ??Clover Hogan’s talk was especially impactful—her message about bringing our morality and humanity into the boardroom really hit home. We need to start seeing the natural world not just as a resource provider but as a valued stakeholder, giving it a voice in decision-making. ???I also discovered Climate Science Breakthrough’s brilliant videos—a unique mix of hard-hitting climate science and dark humor from well-known comedians. They tackle complex climate issues in short, engaging stories that make you think (and laugh!). If you haven’t already, check them out! ??One of the festival’s main takeaways? Sustainable actions shouldn’t be seen as costs, but as investments in efficiency, resilience, and future-proofing. The business world may respond more to these terms—and it's time we started seeing the upside of preparing for what's ahead. ?? Another powerful message: we already know what needs to be done. The challenge isn’t awareness or knowledge—it’s action. Incremental shifts and half-measures aren’t enough; we need all hands on deck, no more finger-pointing, and a collective push forward. Let's start supporting each other’s efforts and move beyond the blame game. The closing remarks from Simon Reeve were equally moving. He put it perfectly: "We’ve lost our collective ability to think long-term... we’re the frog in the boiling water."
