UrbanLink Air Mobility LLC (UrbanLink), a leading advanced air mobility (AAM) operator based in South Florida, has announced a strategic partnership with Skyway Technologies Corp. (Skyway), a prominent vertiport development and operations company from California. This collaboration aims to establish vertiports in key U.S. and Caribbean markets. Over the next six months, UrbanLink and Skyway will provide more details about specific vertiport routes and locations in South Florida and Puerto Rico. Vertiports will serve as hubs for electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOLs), which are expected to transform urban and regional transportation. This partnership highlights UrbanLink’s second collaboration with a vertiport developer, reinforcing the company's commitment to creating a robust support network for AAM operations. By teaming up with Skyway, UrbanLink aims to expedite the deployment of critical vertiport infrastructure essential for its Lilium Jets and the broader AAM industry. “Collaboration between eVTOL operators and vertiport developers ensures that vertiport designs meet operational needs and enhance the customer experience,” stated Ed Wegel, founder and chairman of UrbanLink. “To finance and build the necessary vertiports for the AAM industry, multiple partners are crucial. Skyway’s understanding of our business and their dedication to delivering well-designed, safe, and efficient vertiports in the U.S. and Caribbean have impressed us.” UrbanLink is set to be the first airline in the U.S. to integrate eVTOL aircraft into its fleet, with an expected service launch by summer 2026. In May, UrbanLink announced a partnership with Lilium, developer of the first eVTOL jet, and committed to purchasing 20 Lilium Jets with scheduled pre-delivery payments. Currently, UrbanLink is focused on providing eVTOL flight operations in South Florida, Los Angeles, Southern California, and Puerto Rico, with plans for additional destinations underway. “Our partnership with UrbanLink is advancing the industry towards launching operations in the United States,” said Clifford Cruz, CEO of Skyway. “We are committed to providing outstanding operator services and introducing innovative customer experiences at our vertiports, promoting the adoption of advanced air mobility (AAM) in the safest and most secure manner.” Read the details on our blog. #AvfoilNews #UrbanLink #SkywayTechnologies #AAM #eVTOL #Vertiports #LiliumJets #AdvancedAirMobility #AviationInnovation #SustainableTransport #UrbanAirMobility #SouthFlorida #PuertoRico #LosAngeles #FutureOfTransport #AviationPartnerships #SmartCities

What does the future of advanced air mobility (AAM) look like? Atlantic Aviation is shaping the answer with its recent acquisition of Ferrovial Vertiports from Ferrovial, a global infrastructure leader. This strategic move strengthens Atlantic Aviation’s commitment to sustainable AAM infrastructure by integrating eVTOL expertise into its renowned FBO network. Vertiports, designated areas for electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, promise to redefine urban, suburban, and rural connectivity with reduced emissions and more sustainable transportation options. Following the acquisition, Ferrovial Vertiports will now operate as VertiPorts by Atlantic, focusing on developing key eVTOL operation sites across the United States. Atlantic Aviation’s CEO, Jeff Foland, highlighted the long-term growth potential in AAM, emphasizing the company’s proven ability to deliver a robust network. Kevin Cox, now CEO of VertiPorts by Atlantic, echoed this sentiment, stating that the partnership sets a new industry benchmark for innovation and connectivity. The acquisition aligns with Atlantic Aviation’s ongoing efforts to advance eVTOL infrastructure, including electric aircraft charging stations and utility upgrades, such as those at New York’s 34th Street Heliport. This positions the company as a leader in AAM, ready to transform how people travel to, through, and between cities. Wisk Aero, a leading Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) company and developer of the first all-electric, self-flying air taxi in the US, and Skyports Infrastructure (Skyports), the leader in vertiport infrastructure for the AAM industry, are expanding their partnership to identify an Entry-into-Service (EIS) network for Wisk’s autonomous Generation 6 aircraft in the South East Queensland (SEQ) region of Australia. The latest agreement builds on an existing partnership between Wisk and Skyports announced in 2022, which marked the first collaboration between a vertiport developer-operator and an autonomous eVTOL developer. The new partnership furthers Wisk’s work with the Council of Mayors (SEQ), which began in 2022 to work together to introduce safe, sustainable, and scalable, autonomous air taxi service to South East Queensland. As part of the new agreement, Wisk and Skyports will collaborate to determine locations for a viable vertiport network for SEQ. https://lnkd.in/gKr-MANq Wisk Brian Yutko Skyports Infrastructure Duncan Walker #brm #airmobility #airtaxi #airtaxiservices #tourism #transportinvestments #aviation #travelpatterns #technologies

?? Aircrafts are needed, but... . . . If we want to implement #AAM into our cities and urban spaces #UAM, for sure, a clean, zero-emissions, safe aircraft is required. The industry is shaking regarding Lilium news during last week. #TMNT predicted its cash issues on their last reports. In this new report, vertiport and business model concern is presented. Discussion on the sector regarding the infrastructure is, normally, light and shallow. But, in the end, infrastructure is THE #key ??: without places to take-off or land from, #eVTOLs will be just very nice, high-tech aircrafts. On land. The problem is on the #investment side, for sure. Average investment to build and certify an aircraft is around 1.5 to 2 billions USD ??. Without routes and infrastructure, although you will be able to produce hundreds of aircrafts per year, there will be no service. Key to the market is routes and infrastructure: those who controlled it will block the price of the ticket, and will lead the ROI of aircrafts investments (thats what we believe in Vertiports Network, for sure). If you are a #vc who has invested in the #eVTOLs industry you might be looking into the infrastructure asap...?? Why? Bc infrastructure projects are not easy nor fast to implement: it takes time to design the routes, to look for locations and contracts and to build and certify a #vertiport. How many vertiports are certified globally? And, in Europe? And, in Spain? ?? Just make the numbers... We are facing a terrible business gap between aircraft certification and infrastructure availability. That will, at least, delay #ROI from 2 to 3 years. Are you aware of it? Stellantis Toyota Motor Corporation b2venture Whysol Investments Honeywell Earlybird Venture Capital Aceville Transportes UVC Partners BIT Capital Lightrock Uber BlackRock Baillie Gifford How are you going to recover your investment, without infrastructure? ?? How many vertiports are you building inside cities right now? Just wondering... ?? Do you want to chat?
