In agility, these are our sprints and retrospectives, where we optimize processes and results to constantly iterate toward excellence. 3?? Flawless teamwork ????: While the driver crosses the finish line, there’s a team behind the scenes optimizing every detail. In agile teams, success also depends on strong collaboration, where every role is crucial to achieving the goals. 4?? Quick decision-making ?: In Formula 1, reflexes and fast decisions make the difference between success and failure. Agile teams need the same ability to react swiftly to changes or issues to stay ahead. 5?? Post-race learning (retrospective ??): After each race, Formula 1 teams analyze what worked and what didn’t. In agile, we have retrospectives where we learn from our mistakes and wins to be better in the next sprint. Scuderia Ferrari moved quickly in announcing the replacement of Santander with UniCredit, but another commercial team in Formula 1 has been moving quickly too, taking full advantage of the change in driver line-up and how it coincides with the remainder of the season. ???? Williams Racing announced that Argentine Franco Colapinto would replace Logan Sergeant with immediate effect last Tuesday ahead of the Italian Grand Prix. ???? ???? By Thursday, Williams announced Globant, an IT & Software development company founded in Argentina, would partner with the team. On Friday Williams then announced that Argentine online market place Mercado Libre would also be joining the teams partnership ecosystem, with a focus on activations at the latter Latin America races this season in Mexico and Brazil. Colapinto had a partnership in place with Globant ahead of his full-time drive at Williams, so the swift nature of the announcement does suggest that Globant investment was part of Colapinto’s agreement with Williams, which is pretty common in #F1. However, the Mercado Libre deal does seem like Williams maximizing the announcement and new line-up. ???? Williams may no longer be signing drivers on their commercial attraction, but they are rightly taking full advantage of the commercial opportunity drivers bring. Red Bull Racing has one of the most solid partnership networks in Formula 1. Doing a comparison with the 2020 network shows that 44 % of the 2020 partners are still with the team. If we look at the number of partners 2018-2024 we can see that the size of the network has almost doubled, from 22 partners in 2018 to 42 in 2024.

Small changes in the partnership networks. That is typical for some of the top Formula 1 teams. World Championship Team Oracle RedBull Racing have made one new partnership announcement, VISA in January, so far 2024. Scuderia Ferrari have also made only one new partnership announcement, Peroni, also in January 2024. McLaren have made eight, but it is typical for McLaren as the team has the highest number of partners. Sauber have made 5 official announcements, but there are a couple of new partners, Scania one of them, that has not been officially announced yet. I would expect the Top-Teams to make some announcements in March, but it might be they are happy with the current partnership networks. #formula1

February is usually the busiest partnership announcement month in Formula 1. March have been slow, only 2 new announcements ?? February was as busy as 2023, but March have been slow. ?? Scuderia Ferrari have made one (1) new partnership announcement, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, so far (January) 2024. ?? Mercedes-AMG have made one (1) announcement - Luminar Technology in 2024 (January). (BetterUp not counted) ?? RedBull Racing have made one (1) major announcement 2024 (January)- VISA. This confirms that the top teams have very stable partnership networks at the moment. Only minor changes needed. ?? Haas is the only F1 team with zero (0) new announcements sor far 2024.

Very interesting article from Sergio Rinland (F1 car design legend) in RACE TECH Magazine, about Andretti Global's bid to join the Formula One grid. Sergio's write up looks at the comments made by Formula One Management to which he then gives his thoughts in reply. I personally see Andretti joining F1 as a massive plus, given we now have 3 races across the US. Surely with the push to drive interest in the sport, having an American team is a no brainer? This got us thinking why? ? ??Infrastructure & Innovation // The Spanish GP is currently held in Barcelona, an all-rounder circuit and one of Europe's busiest tracks. However, the draw of brand-new facilities and development of infrastructure gives Madrid the edge. ?Test Test // In recent years, the Bahrain International Circuit has hosted the hotly anticipated F1 pre-season testing. Due to regionalisation efforts, this move has diminished the once dual advantages of Barcelona. ???Smooooth Operator // We cannot ignore the appeal of Madrid with it's connection to current Ferrari driver, Carlos Sainz, a city this motorsport family calls home. ??Travel & Logistics // The transport connections for both fans and those working within Formula 1 is much more reliable with an abundance of options compared to Barcelona, and with proven ability to cope with the demands of hosting major events.
